Have you finished your application and ready to fund your new account? You should deposit at least KD 5000 in your account to start trading. There are many ways to fund your account. However, some are slower than others. Please see the payment methods in this section.

Cash Payment
You can deposit cash to your account with Alawsat.com by visiting any of The Bank of Kuwait and the Middle East (BKME) branches located in Kuwait. No cash deposits are accepted from any other banks. When arriving to BKME, please Instruct BKME to deposit the cash to:

Cheque Deposits
Cheque deposits are accepted. Please make the cheque made payable to (KMEFIC Online Trading). You should write your Alawsat.com account number on the left corner of the cheque. After that you can send it to us through the following

Alawsat.com Collection Boxes(in AUB branches Only):
You can drop off any correspondence to Alawsat.com including cheques to any of our collection boxes located in AUB branches in Kuwait. For a list of those locations click here

There will be a charges of USD$25 for foreign clearing cheques (No charges for local clearing cheque). Cheque deposits takes at least 2 business days to clear and then appear in your account. Foreign currency cheques drawn on foreign banks may take up to 7 business days to clear them.

Telex Transfers (Wire Transfers)
This is the safest way to transfer funds into your account. To send funds to your Alawsat.com account via Telex Transfer (Wire Transfer), give the following information to the financial institution you want the fund to come from. Please instruct your bankers to transfer the exact sum, which you intend to transfer to Alawsat.com, and bank charges, if any, may be charged to your account separately:

Telex Transfers (Wire Transfers) are the fastest method to send fund to your Alawsat.com account. It usually takes one day for the fund to appear in your account.

Normal Account Transfer within Ahli United Bank(AUB)
We help AUB clients to make transfers easier between their Alawsat.com accounts and their AUB accounts. All funding types available will take one business day only if made by a AUB customer.

Normal Account Transfer within Bank of Kuwait and Middle East(BKME)
We help BKME clients to make transfers easier between their Alawsat.com accounts and their BKME accounts. All funding types available will take one business day only if made by a BKME customer.

Recieve proceeds from a sale
Proceeds from Sale are immediately available to reinvest regardless of the settlement date. Settlement on trades takes 3 business days. You can then withdraw cash proceeds from sale.

Dividends
Dividends are a portions of a company's profit paid to preferred and common shareholders. They are received in cash or stocks. Cash dividends will be deposited to customer's account automatically after ex-date upon receipt by the custodian. If you receive a stock dividend it will show in your account portfolio immediately after ex-date but not available for transaction until stocks recd by the custodian. Dividends received by Alawsat.com customers are taxed 30% by the Federal Government of the United States regardless of nationality.
