There is a focus on sectors and stocks that are in the news or deserve to be noticed. The section contains information about upgrades and downgrades in equity ratings by brokerage firms, economic and split calendars as well as corporate events such as dividends, bonus etc.
This Market News section provides the investors with the latest market news available. This includes the top stories that are currently making the rounds of the market, what direction the market is moving, the stocks that are in news, the sectors that are getting hot etc.
Overall Snapshot
This section shows the top ten general news headlines to everyone visiting the page. These news headlines appear in reverse chronological order with the latest news appearing first. In case the users want to view more news then the More button takes them to another page where they can view the rest of news headlines in the reverse chronological order. Here the users are shown 20 news headlines per page and they can navigate using the next page and previous page buttons provided at the bottom.
Trader
The trader page would display the 10 most active, gainers and loser for KSE. It would also display intra-day line chart of KSE index.
Corporate Events
This Corporate Events table shows all future corporate events such as Dividend, Split, Bonus, Merger, Break-up, Subscription, Offer to Buy etc, from the time that they have been announced, till the end of the day when the event is completed (such as the date of delivery of a dividend).
Market News
This section provides the users, news specific to their ticker symbol preferences. The users can set their preferences for up to 5 stock tickers for which they want to receive the latest news, in the news preference section in the Profile and Preferences. For the stock ticker symbol set by the user in the news preferences section, they are provided the 5 latest news for each of the symbols. They are provided only 20 news items (headlines only) on a page and the remaining on the next page, to which they can navigate using the next page and previous page.
