Alerts

All KMEFIC Customers can set and receive various kinds of alerts via the delivery option of his choice, while the Registered Members can set and receive the "Price Target Alert" and "News Alert" via the delivery option of their choice. The various options available for delivery, which can be set/ edited, are: 

  • E-mail Alerts: The alert is delivered in a pre-defined mail format to the e-mail address specified by the user at the time of Registration/Account opening. The e-mail address used for delivering the e-mail alerts would be verified as part of the Registration/Account Opening process.
  • Web Alerts: The alert is delivered on the website. If there were a new message in the alerts inbox, the User gets an indication immediately on logging in. Similarly every time a page is refreshed, an appropriate indication is provided if there are new messages. There is a drop-down box containing the captions of all unread alert messages delivered to the user. On selecting any caption, the user can navigate to the body of the corresponding message. The User can also click the appropriate Alerts link to view the messages in his 'inbox', under columns for 'Date/Time' and 'Subject'. On clicking a subject line, the body of the message is displayed.
The alerts read would be deleted after a period of 30 days.
The Customer/ Registered members can set/edit the symbols for "Price Target Alert" and "News Alert".
  • SMS Alerts:The alert will be delivered by default to all the Customers on the mobile number that they have provided at the time of account application. The Customers will later have an option to disable this SMS service. If the Customers are not providing their mobile numbers in the account application, they will not be considered for SMS service. When they change their preference to enable the receipt of alerts by SMS, they will be prompted to provide their mobile numbers and only when they do so, will they be eligible for the SMS service.

    The user can either enable or disable the SMS from the browser. In case he enables this option, he will receive all the valid alerts through SMS. In case he chooses to disables this option, he will not receive any alert. To see valid SMS alerts refer to the table of Valid delivery options for Alerts, given later in this section.

    The SMS will have only the textual information and alerts text size would be subject to the maximum character supported by SMS tool.
